Ed Owen - Teacher, Director and Producer

Ed Owen
Producer, Director & Teacher

Ed’s passion for performance began at the age of seven when he played a King, and since then, he has been actively involved in theatre both on and off stage. With a BA Honours in Education and training as a primary school teacher, Ed has dedicated himself to helping children discover and nurture their love of the stage.

Ed has been a performed at the Courtyard with the Bottleneck Theatre Company, and taken on leading roles in pantomimes with HAPS portraying a variety of characters including Kings, Princes, and even the Dame! He also played an active role in the Hereford Scout Gang Show from 1990 until parenthood shifted his focus away from Scouting.

A talented writer, Ed has penned numerous scripts that have become the foundation for the drama and musical theatre classes, offering students the exciting opportunity to perform original pieces.

Ed is passionate about inspiring the next generation of performers and is thrilled to see the Charming Theatre Company grow and flourish. He looks forward to working with the children, sharing his love of theatre, and watching them develop their skills and confidence.

In addition to Ed, the teaching team at Nicola's School of Dance includes the talented Nicola Owen, Poppy Layton, Frankie Clarke and Samantha Naylor. Our Vocal coach is Hannah West.

Ed holds a full DBS and works across Herefordshire, delivering both curriculum-based and extracurricular classes in schools. Get in touch for more information!
